Our worship is a "blended" one, and is centered on the Bible and life.
First Baptist Church was founded in 1822. The people who first met for worship gathered in the fort. Now with a strong and growing membership, the congregation gathers for worship in a sanctuary built in 1950. Through the years First Baptist Church has provided substantial leadership in local and worldwide denominational and ecumenical efforts. It has participated in the founding and nurturing of several churches in the Fort Wayne community.
